PTSO Parent, Teacher, Student Organization 2010-20011 Meetings: Meetings are held in the Summit library @ 4:15 p.m. September 13th October 11th November 8th December 13th January 10th February 14th March 14th April 11th May 9th PTSO Summit Elementary The Parent Student Organization at Summit has monthly meetings and welcomes everyone to attend. We discuss school issues, organize activities and raise money. PTSO is now working on raising money for a Habitat Trail around the school which the teacher will take advantage of as an outdoor classroom. PTSO along with Scholastic offers two Book Fairs during the year. This helps out the library; we get money and books that the librarian always puts to good use. We organize the Ice cream social, Reading night, Science night and many other activities for the kids. Come to the meetings and see what it is all about. Every year we have officer openings, or come as a parent we are always looking for ideas. Many of the people involved have full time jobs and balance busy family lives; there is always something that you can give.
