PTSO Summit Elementary
The Parent Student Organization at Summit has monthly meetings and welcomes everyone to attend. We discuss school issues, organize activities and raise money. PTSO was able to raise $16,000 put into a CD so that we could apply for the GOCO grant. The GOCO grant gave us an additional 60,000 to put toward a new playground. The kids love the new equipment and are very excited to have it installed.
PTSO along with Scholastic offers two Book Fairs during the year. This helps out the library; we get money and books that the librarian always puts to good use.
We organize the Ice cream social, Carnival and many other activities for the kids.
Come to the meetings and see what it is all about. Every year we have officer openings, or come as a parent we are always looking for ideas. Many of the people involved have full time jobs and balance busy family lives; there is always something that you can give.

Throughout the year PTSO host many activities: Ice Cream Social, Health Screenings, Book Fairs (one in Fall the other in Spring), Holiday Shop, Spring Carnival etc..
You can also come to the meetings or join PTSO.
We are always looking for new ideas.
